Melanie + Ian | 2 February 2019 |Droombos

“A soulmate is someone who has locks that fit our keys, and keys to fit our locks. When we feel safe enough to open the locks, our truest selves step out and we can be completely and honestly who we are; we can be loved for who we are and not for who we’re pretending to be. Each unveils the best part of the other. No matter what else goes wrong around us, with that one person, we’re safe in our own paradise.” – Richard Bach

When asked to assist with the wedding of Melanie and Ian we immediately know that it will be a day of immense fun and laughter. Two people with a lust for life, go-getters and not willing to conform to every day standards and we feel that this love is the purest as its build on friendship strong that the hardest steel.

Melanie Daniel is the old soul and in love with all things glimming and sophisticated where Ian Daniel loves the simplicity of life and its surroundings- Building on a wedding concept was easy and Droombos became the perfect space to host a wedding ceremony and reception for these two nature lovers to tie the knot.

A day engulfed by warm pinks and copper, touches of soft grey and creams set for the perfect mood and ambience and we were elated with the final product as it spoke of elegance and sophistication.

The ceremony was intimate and beautiful as these two said their “I-Do’s” overlooked by their closest group of friends and family enjoying this sacred matrimony. The ceremony look and feel was “framed” to perfection and the décor was kept simple as not to take away from the architectural feel of the building. – A large frame was suspended from the roof and set with a radiant flower and a glimming chandelier.

After the intimate ceremony guest enjoyed some time in the plush garden with delicious canapes and drinks while listening to the soothing sounds of Vaughn Ahrens while the bridal troupe went for a formal photo session.

The start of the reception was a highlight as these two just wanted a massive party to celebrate their wedding day but furthermore the close friendships they formed. The guest enjoyed the couples company and danced tye night away while also enjoying some amazing cuisine from around the world.

The décor was engulfed in a venue with soft cream drapery and set against tables of rich copper bling sequence and a cream damask table cloth finished with an intricate design of copper candelabras, lush pink fate roses and berries and greenery garlands. A lovely wedding cake in the colour scheme was set between other little desert offerings under a roof drapery of fairy lights and a round wreath filled with majestic candelabras and crystal hangs.

Each and every wedding we strive to make our couples happy with a look and feel and design that encapsulate the component they feel is important to them and then we as a team add elements to push the concept ideals even further.
