Sometimes all you need is the bush, fires spitting in the air, Guinea fowls chasing the sun away and then sitting under a magical star lit night and the sounds of darkness dawn on you… and you can just be.

Our brief was short give us the Big 5!

We sat and decided to take our clients to a “safari in style” – taking inspiration and cues from the lavish camps of the past, plush elements like delft, moss greens, over-the-top orchids, fires and green lit trees. The privilege to do an open-air event; under the stars for a corporate was slightly scary as Namibias weather is not always the easiest to read – but the evening was magical. The event was hosted by Old Mutual NAMIBIA – A financial event that awarded their clients for a job well done. The setting was designed to take people to the simple things in life but still feel lavish.

We hosted the event at Heja Lodge under the magical thorn trees near the dam. Suspended bulbs were set in the trees, string lights and fairy lights, Bamboo torches burning the night away made for an out-of-Africa feel and the guest truly dressed for the occasion with in their khaki chinos and Safari hats. Their inspiration to dress up for the occasion elevated the theme and enhanced the entire experience.

No wildlife was actually present that night but the awards that were handed out where roaring and the winners eager to hunt for more. The night was entertained by the one and only, “local is lekker” artist with his sweet tunes and mash-ups in the evening sky and blurred into the far distance. A perfect atmosphere while slumbering at the fire or enjoying the dinner that was specially prepared for the night. It seems that everyone had the opportunity to escape the busy city center and enjoy a calm and tranquil experience under the starry sky.

Not only was this not possible without our team and service providers but most definitely we want to shout out to our loyal client for trusting us to create the perfect Safari Excursion.
